Allowing kids to draw is giving them the ability to use another language to talk about feelings, suggestions, perceptions, fantasies, and observations of how they enjoy themselves, others and the surroundings in an effective, non-threatening method. Clients with various issues could be reached through expressive skill therapy as a tool for awakening dormant imagination which can be used through artistic self-expression.
